Soon Pentaho 5 1 CE Release Candidate

Hello everyone!


We are going to do something different this time. Instead of releasing 5.1 CE a couple of weeks after the release of Pentahos Enterprise Edition, this time were going to release both roughly at the same time (still tbd)


In my opinion these are great news on its own, but theres more - were going to release a Release Candidate of 5.1 CE ahead of the main release so we can get some early testing going - and hopefully this Wednesday already!


And I need as much help as I can get testing it! Well be creating a Jira project to collect feedback or in alternative use the pentaho-community mailing list to give feedback.

So Id like a couple of people to help me test some of the components during next week:

* BI server (and the plugins) - 10 people

* Ctools - 4 people

* PDI - 6 people

* PRD - 4 people

* Schema workbench - 3 people

* PAD - 2 people
* PME - 2 people

Theres no QA plan defined, maybe next release well be able to have something in place, so what I ask is just for you to test it in our exiting environment, with your specific needs.

Reply to the pentaho-community mailing list or even directly to me saying what part(s) of the suite youd like to test and an estimated ETA. Lets make this one a great release!
