Square Enix memang sudah melemparkan konfirmasi bahwa tidak hanya seri pertama, mereka juga akan membawa keseluruhan trilogi Final Fantasy XIII ke PC. Hype yang sempat terbangun sayangnya cukup dicederai dengan fakta bahwa port sang seri pertama tidak lah semaksimal yang dibayangkan. Terkesan setengah-setengah, port ini bahkan tidak menyediakan opsi untuk mengatur resolusi dan kualitas visual untuk pengalaman yang lebih optimal. Kritik mengemuka, namun Square Enix tetap bergeming. Mereka tetap bersiap meluncurkan dua seri selanjutnya ke pasaran. Namun akhir tahun ini juga akan menjadi waktu rilis untuk port sang sekuel � Final Fantasy XIII-2. Tersedia di halaman Steam untuk proses pre-order dengan harga dalam Rupiah yang sangat menggoda � Rp 171.000,- saja, Square Enix juga menjanjikan banyak fitur untuk port yang satu ini. Final Fantasy XIII-2 diklaim hadir dengan opsi pengaturan resolusi, opsi grafis, berjalan di 60 fps, dan voice acts � bahasa Jepang dan Inggris yang bisa dipilih.
